UNTHINK: Transform Stress and Anger into Calm and Clarity
Are stress and anger running your life?
Do your thoughts spiral, your body stay tense, and your days feel like a constant fight to keep up?
It’s not your fault. In today’s fast-paced, always-on world, our nervous systems are overloaded, our minds race, and our emotions boil over. But there’s a way to break the cycle—without quitting your job, running to the mountains, or spending hours meditating.
In UNTHINK, writer, educator, and researcher Robert G. Riley introduces The Three Keys—a simple, practical framework to:
* Calm your nervous system so your body can relax again.
* Manage stress and anger—even in the middle of a busy workday
* Break free from destructive thought loops that keep you wired and stuck.
Blending real-world experience with insights from psychology, neuroscience, and somatic practices, Robert G. Riley shows you how to stop overthinking and start living with more ease. His approach is honest, relatable, easy to apply, and designed for busy people who don’t have time for fluff or “guru” advice.
Whether you’re a stressed-out professional, someone struggling with stress and anger, or just tired of feeling disconnected and on edge, UNTHINK will help you:
* Feel lighter and calmer (without quitting your job).
* Find clarity and presence in your day-to-day.
* Finally breathe again—even in a world that won’t slow down.
More than a self-help book, UNTHINK is a field guide that shows you how to unlearn the patterns keeping you stuck and change the way you’ve been taught to think.
If you’re ready to transform stress and anger into calm and clarity, it’s time to UNTHINK.
Unthink also comes in an illustrated version. With the help of well-known Australian author and illustrator Bev Aisbett, Unthink is now more accessible than ever before.
Bev Aisbett is author to more than twenty books, including Living with It: A Survivor’s Guide to Panic Attacks and Taming the Black Dog: A Guide to Overcoming Depression. Her books have sold over half a million copies worldwide. She also collaborated on the illustrated version of The Happiness Trap by Dr Russ Harris, a book that has sold more than a million copies.
For Unthink Illustrated, Bev not only created the cartoons but also contributed to the writing, helping translate the book’s ideas into relatable, humorous, and memorable illustrations that make complex concepts easier to understand and apply.
Blending real-world experience with insights from psychology, neuroscience, and somatic practices, Unthink Illustrated shows you how to stop overthinking and start living with more ease. The approach is honest, relatable, and designed for busy people who don’t have time for fluff or “guru” advice.
Perfect for readers who enjoy books like The Happiness Trap, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck, and practical mental health guides that are clear, honest, and relatable.
What does this website offer?
I have written two books: Unthink (original version) and Unthink Illustrated.
Personalized 1:1 coaching tailored to your goals and growth. Sessions can be tailored to your health goals such as:
Stress & anger reduction
Improving overall mental health
Anxiety and trauma healing
Weight loss
Weight maintenance after GLP-1 treatment
Alternative approaches to healing gastritis
Family planning
Fertility treatment
Pain management
Another hobby of mine is writing songs. For a long time, I had almost given it up and never imagined I’d record songs again. Thanks to AI, however, I’ve been able to create music that otherwise would never have existed. Some people say they prefer my natural singing voice, but I personally like the AI versions. They allow the songs to sound the way I always imagined, in a way I could never achieve on my own.

The Mission:
We live in a world that’s fast, noisy, and constantly pulling our attention in every direction.
Our nervous systems are overloaded, our minds are restless, and our emotions often run the show.
I wrote Unthink, and its illustrated companion, Unthink Illustrated, to help people slow down, observe their thoughts, and rewire their stress responses using three powerful steps:
Observe. Relax. Reenergise.
These books use science, humour, and easy-to-apply emotional regulation strategies to make mental fitness practical for everyone.
Up until now, I’ve funded this entire project myself, from writing, illustrating and design to printing and initial distribution.
But to take it further, to reach more people, spread awareness, and give copies to those who can’t afford them, I need your help.
By backing this campaign, you’re not just buying books, you’re helping people regain calm, clarity, and hope.
Your donation helps fund:
Advertising and outreach so the book reaches people struggling with stress, anxiety, and mental health challenges.
Free and discounted copies for community reviewers, libraries, and support groups.
Campaigns that encourage people to share their experiences and reviews to inspire others
Every contribution, financial or otherwise, helps someone else find relief and improve their mental health.
Not everyone can donate and that’s okay.
If you have Kindle Unlimited, you can read Unthink for free.
Your honest Amazon or Goodreads review counts as a donation.

What are the experts saying about Unthink?
I spent some time with Unthink, and I want to begin by saying that what you have created goes far beyond a conventional self-help book. This guide carries a grounded and highly practical understanding of stress, anger, and mental overload, the kind that speaks directly to readers who are living through these challenges every day.
What struck me first is how immediately relatable the core problem feels. The experience of a mind that never switches off, a body that remains tense, and emotions that feel constantly close to the surface is something many readers will recognize instantly. By addressing this so directly, the book establishes a strong and immediate connection.
The concept of Unthink itself is particularly compelling. Instead of encouraging readers to do more, think more, or try harder, it introduces the idea of stepping out of the patterns that keep them stuck. That shift in perspective stands out in a space where much of the advice can feel overwhelming or unrealistic.
The Three Keys provide a clear and accessible framework. They give the book structure while keeping it practical, allowing readers to apply the ideas without needing to completely change their lifestyle. The focus on calming the nervous system, managing stress in real time, and breaking thought loops directly addresses the root of the problem rather than just the symptoms.
Another especially strong element is the balance between science and real-world application. By drawing on psychology, neuroscience, and somatic practices, the book establishes credibility. At the same time, the emphasis on simple and usable tools ensures that readers can integrate these ideas into their daily lives without friction.
The tone also plays a significant role. There is a sense of honesty and clarity that runs throughout the concept. It does not feel distant or overly theoretical, but grounded in lived experience. This makes it particularly appealing to readers who may feel frustrated with advice that sounds good in theory but fails in practice.
What gives the book its strength is its focus on realistic change. The idea that readers can feel calmer, think more clearly, and regain control without stepping away from their responsibilities aligns closely with what many people are actually looking for.
All of this points to a guide built on clarity, practicality, and genuine relevance. It is the kind of book that resonates strongly with readers who want straightforward tools to improve their mental and emotional well-being.
